March  2010

2010March MUG UPDATE

Before we talk about March business, let me wrap up the details of our February meeting.  I want to Thank Robin Tatam of PowerTech for presenting IBM ‘i security’ presentations.  It was a good turnout at the Hamburg Fairgrounds.  And let’s not forget the how nice it was to return to that location for the excellent meal and gaming!

Speaking of returning to past locations, we are headed back to the Paddock Chevrolet Golf Dome’s The Grill Restaurant for our March meeting:

Date / Time:       March 25, 2010  /  5:30 PM Registration

Location:             175 Brompton Road, in the Town of Tonawanda

Here’s the menu:

Buffet....... including Hot Roast Beef with plain and weck rolls, Grilled Chicken Breast, Baked Pasta, Rice Pilaf, Green Salad, & Non-Alcoholic beverages. (Cash Bar)

Let’s hope we are done with the snow storms by March 25th.  I am feeling the warm up already.

A special note about our March meeting:

As per the group’s by-laws, we hold elections every 2 years.  So we will accept any nominations for new officers at the March meeting!  So if you have an interest in donating your time and talent, we certainly will want to get your name on the ballot for one of the officer positions.

Just an FYI, we are still accepting membership applications!    If you haven’t already done so, please send in your membership form with your subscription.  If you still need a membership form, please email our membership chair, Steve Kait at: skait@gemko.com

So!  Have you seen our revamped newsletter?  Chuck Giambra at Hi-Tech Services has done a great job!  Who has finished the crossword puzzle????  Let me know what you think of the additions to our news letter and maybe you want to write a column or have something to add!

Stay in tune with our website at:   www.MUGWNY.org  We will continue to keep it updated with meeting information and other news.  I am looking forward to another great MUG season, where I can continue to reach out to our members and host our meetings.
